What is th[re]e 98?

th[re]e 98 is a commitment. Starting October 9, 2026, and running for 398 consecutive days — through to November 10, 2027 — something will be made, noted, and shared here every single day.

The name holds the number inside it. Three and ninety-eight. The brackets are intentional — a way of marking what's hidden in plain sight, what you only notice when you look closely enough.

This isn't a project with a product at the end. It's a practice. A record of showing up, of the days that work and the days that don't, of what a creative life actually looks like from the inside.

Why 398? Because 365 felt too neat. Because the extra 33 days matter. Because arbitrary constraints, chosen deliberately, have a way of becoming meaningful.

Accountability is part of it. But more than that — there's something that changes when you know someone might be watching. Not performance, exactly. More like care. You take the work more seriously when it has a witness.
